My Wordpress tutorial and Wordpress 2.3
Today I took some time and made a test with Wordpress 2.3 and my RapidWeaver tutorial that integrates your blog with RapidWeaver. The good news is that you don’t need to make any changes at all to use my tutorial :)
The bad news is that Wordpress 2.3 is broken :(
and although the patch was produced 3 weeks ago, and is supposed to be included in 2.3.1 it still hasn’t been fixed in public…
So what is the problem? If you are hosting your Wordpress blog in a subdomain, or subdirectory (i.e. not in the root of your website) you cannot login because in Wordpress 2.3 they added a cookie check, which is “broken”. There is a patch available which works, for me, that is attached to this ticket
If you decide to use Wordpress 2.3 make sure you get this patch or you may have problems logging in to your blog after the upgrade/installation.
