It’s time to update to WP-Blog v1.1.3. This version contains one bugfix that fixes an exception so far only seen on Snow Leopard.

I have also loosened the demo restrictions in this version. Starting with v1.1.3 WP-Blog will allow you to save and restore your customized settings in demo mode. The WordPress path will still be reset when you open a project in demo mode and publishing will be disabled after 5 minutes.

Hot on the heals of WP-Blog v1.1.1 comes v1.1.2. It contains one bugfix that fixes a problem opening pages that was saved with the demo version in the registered version.

It is finally time for a new version of WP-Blog that not only focuses on bugfixes. This time I have added a few interresting features too.

I also got a bunch of good feedback from my beta testers so this version contains a bunch of vital bugfixes too so even if you are not interrested in the new features you should grab this update.

WordPress widgets
The biggest new feature is support for WordPress sidebar widgets. This has been the most prominent request, one that I have been partly reluctant to add since I was planning on doing it in another way. Note: Be careful when you use it because you will most likely need to tweak your RapidWeaver theme to take full advantage of this.

Post authors
It is now possible to have the post author shown in the blog posts. You can configure if it should be shown after the post date or after the categories. This is a small but highly requested feature.

Nested/threaded comments
In WordPress v2.7 they added support for nested/threaded comments. Since this requires support from the WordPress theme, aka. WP-Blog, this is now supported. By default only a minimal CSS styling is applied to the comments. If you want to customize the appearance more you can check the WP-Blog manual to see what CSS selectors that are available.

MAMP support
You should now be able to have a WordPress blog installed in MAMP on your Mac and connect to that blog for previewing inside RapidWeaver. This requires that you
have installed MAMP in the recommended location (/Applications/MAMP/).
Note: You need to enable this in the advanced WordPress path setup.

Requirements
The requirements have increased for WordPress in v1.1 compared to v1.0.x. You now need to have at least v2.8, and due to some security fixes in WordPress you really want to use at least v2.8.4.

WordPress >= v2.8
OSX >= v10.4

@stash v1.3.2

A bugfix release of @stash is now available for download. It contains a fix related to the upcoming RapidWeaver 4.2.2. This update is recommended for everyone that is using @stash no matter if you are using RapidWeaver 3.6.x or 4.x.

WP-Blog v1.0.2

It’s time for WP-Blog v1.0.2 to hit the street. It should have been out a couple of days ago but the server where my site is hosted has been a bit down lately.

This release is mainly a bugfix release but there is one new feature added that some of you have been asking for.

I have added support for excerpts in WP-Blog. If you enable this only the excerpt, or a short piece of the post, is show in the blog. If you enable excerpts you can also configure it to only display it for posts that actually have an excerpt.

WP-Blog v1.0.1

A small bug was introduced in the registered version of WP-Blog. Some of the settings were not saved properly. I have fixed this in v1.0.1 but it requires that you perform a “Restore settings” in your WP-Blog page and apply your customizations again to fix the problem.

But that is not all that was adressed in this version…

I have added one more call into WordPress which will allow more third-party WordPress plugins to work as they should. This was mainly to add support for the “WordPress.com Stats” plugin but it will probably be useful for other plugins too. If you notice any problems with this be sure to let me know.

FlexibleList v1.2.2

When I was working on a future release of FlexibleList I stumbled upon a bug. To be more precise it was a memoryleak. Since this future version is a long way from beeing finished and I don’t want my software out there for a long time with known bugs I have prepared…

…FlexibleList v1.2.2 which adresses this particular bug…

What’s new in v1.2.2:

Bugfix: Fixed a memoryleak.

FlexibleList continues to be donationware and requires RapidWeaver >= 3.5 and OS X >= 10.4 (Works with RapidWeaver 4).

Note: This will be the last version that supports RapidWeaver v3.5. Future versions will require RapidWeaver >= v3.6.

FlexibleList v1.2.1

A recent issue arose that pointed out a bug in FlexibleList. It was found when I released a small update to the Tabifier style for FlexibleList and I got a report that the style was not OK. After looking into it I quickly discovered that the style was in fact OK but instead it was a bug in the all so important “Import style” option in FlexibleList.

Therefor I have now released…

…FlexibleList v1.2.1 which adresses this particular bug…and a few more minor issues.

What’s new in v1.2.1:

Bugfix: The ‘Import style’ menu option did not work and no error was shown.
Bugfix: Changing the ‘Desc’ tab in existing projects did not mark the page as changed.
Bugfix: The TOC location setting is now disabled when ‘Hide TOC output’ is selected.
The bundled Tabifier style has been updated according to this post.
