[lang_sv]Ett nytt plugin för RapidWeaver har tagit form på min iBook nyligen. Hitills har det endast setts av några få personer men det kommer snart att dyka upp på min hemsida.

Den här gången är det ett plugin som fungerar som ”två-i-ett”.[/lang_sv]

[lang_en]Another RapidWeaver plugin has been taking form on my iBook lately. It has so far only been viewed by a few persons but i’m soon going to put it up on my website.

This time it is a plugin that can act as two-in-one.[/lang_en]

• Du kan lagra kodsnuttar (HTML, Javascript, PHP etc.) eller ren text som du associerar med ditt projekt inuti .rw3 filen. Genom att göra så här så finns dessa snuttar alltid tillgängliga i ditt projekt oavsett vilken Mac som du redigerar filen på.
• Du kan, och detta är den huvudsakliga anledningen till att jag utvecklade det här plugin:et, importera dessa ”snuttar” i alla stilerade textareor i ditt project med hjälp av en speciell tagg. Den här taggen fungerar inte bara i dom ”stora” textareorna, den fungerar i alla textfält som ”tvättas” av RapidWeavers interna renderingsmotor. Det fungerar dock inte i alla textfält i alla andra plugins men det fungerar på många ställen.

Några exempel på vad du kan göra:

• Du kan spara koden för PayPal-knappar i plugin:et och skapa en ”affär” med Collage plugin:et och importera den ”lång” knappkoden med en kort tagg i ”Title” fältet för varje Collage-bild.
• Du kan spara koden för ett skript som du använder ofta i ditt projekt och importera den med taggen på dom ställen du vill använda den. Om du sedan upptäcker att du behöver uppdatera skriptet så ändrar du bara på ett ställe och vips så är det rättat på alla andra ställen. (OBS! Du måste själv se till så att dessa sidor publiceras om efter att du har ändrat koden som importeras)
• …

Så när kommer det här att vara färdigt? Om du är intresserad av att vara delaktig i en sista testrunda innan det blir publikt så skicka ett mail. Annars kommer det att se dagens ljus inom en till två veckor (måste bara skriva ihop lite dokumentation först) 🙂

• You can store codesnippets (HTML, Javascript, PHP etc.) or any text associated with your project inside the .rw3 file. By doing this the snippets are always available where you have your project independently of which Mac you are editing the file on.
• Secondly, and the main reason for developing this plugin, you can import the stored ”snippets” into any styled textarea inside your project with the help of a special tag. This tag not only works in the ”big” textareas, it works in any textfield that is sent through RapidWeavers internal rendering engine. It will not work in every single textfield in all the pagestyles but it will work in many places.

A few examples of what you can do:

• You can store the code for PayPal buttons inside the plugin and create a ”store” using the Collage plugin and import the ”long” buttoncode with a short tag in the ”Title” field in each Collage-entry.
• You can store the code for a script that you use frequently in your project and import it with the tag in each place you want to use it. If you have to update the script you only need to do that in one place and it will automatically be updated in all places that it is used. (Note: You need to manually make sure that these pages are re-published when you have changed the code that is imported.)
• …
