En ny yampp-spelare har anlänt
[lang_sv]I går fick jag min yamppod, den senaste skapelsen från Jesper Hansen. Det är en fullt anpassingsbar mp3-spelare med flashminne som han har utvecklat. Den har en Atmel AT91SAM7S128 (ARM-7TDMI 32-bit CPU) med 128KB flash och 32KB RAM. Mp3-dekodern är en VS1033 från VLSI som stödjer MP3, WMA, AAC & WAV. Den har en färgdisplay som är 1.6″ kapabel att visa 131×131 pixlar och 4096 färger. Flashminnet är ett T-Flash (Micro-SD) kort vilket betyder att du för närvarande kan ha upp till 2GB minne. Låtar kommer att kunna föras över via USB2 (Full speed ~12 MB/sec) men det är ännu inte implementerat. Batteriet är et 650 mAh Li-Ion Polymer som bör ge ~8 timmars speltid och laddas via USB-kabeln. Den finns i 5 färger av anodiserad aluminium, du kan se bilder på dom här.

[lang_en]Yesterday I received my yamppod, the latest creation by Jesper Hansen. It’s a small fully customizable mp3-player with flash storage that he has developed. It has an Atmel AT91SAM7S128 (ARM-7TDMI 32-bit CPU) with 128KB flash memory and 32KB RAM. The mp3 decoder is a VS1033 decoder from VLSI which supports MP3, WMA, AAC & WAV. The display is a 1.6″ Color LCD capable of 131*131 pixels and 4096 colors. The flash memory is a T-Flash (Micro-SD) card which means that you can currently have up to 2GB storage. Songs will be possible to transfer via USB2 (Full speed ~12MB/sec) but that is not yet implemented. The battery is a 650 mAh Li-Ion polymer cell that should give you ~8 hours playtime and is charged through the USB cable. It’s available in 5 different colors of anodized aluminum, you can see pictures of the housings here.
Oh, did I mention that the software is open-source? 🙂

Nerladdningssidan ändrad
[lang_sv]Jag gjorde nyligen en smärre ändring på nerladdningssidan. Det går inte längre att komma åt filerna direkt, utan det sker numera via ett litet php-skript. Du som användare bör inte märka någon skillnad. Det kommer bara att bli enklare för mig att se hur många gånger filerna laddas ner :-)[/lang_sv]
[lang_en] I made some changes to the download page recently. You can no longer access any of the files directly, instead the file is served by a small php-script. You should not notice any changes from how it worked before. It will just be easier for me to see how many times the files are downloaded :-)[/lang_en]
Ny version av USB-DLL:en för yampp
[lang_sv]I dag fick jag änligen möjlighet att kompilera och ladda upp en ny version av USB-DLL:en med den bugfix som Mic fixade tidigare för comportar >= COM10. Mer information om fixen finns i den här tråden i yampp-forumet. Jag gjorde en liten visuell ändring av hans fix men jag har testat den med min yampp-7 ansluten som COM13 och det fungerade. Jag har dessutom lagt upp nya binära versioner av ylink för Windows med den nya DLL:en.[lang_sv]
[lang_en]Today I finally got time to recompile and upload a new version of the USB-DLL with the bugfix that Mic found and fixed earlier for comports >= COM10. More information about the fix can be found in this thread in the yampp-forum. I made a small visual change to his fix but I have tested it with my yampp-7 connected as COM13 and it works. I also uploaded new binary downloads for ylink with the new DLL.[/lang_en]
